Reap Africa Initiative is an Agricultural focused Non-Governmental Organization designed to lead an Agricultural Revolution in Africa by empowering and mentoring a new crop of innovative farmers. The organization is inviting applications urgently from suitably qualified and eligible applicants for appointment into the position of Project Officers in their Business/Training Centre located in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria.

The Project Officer will work under the direction of the Management and provide technical assistance to ensure that the Project goals and objectives of the Organizations are achieved. This Officer will assist with planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project.

Position Objective:
The Officer will works closely with the Directors in defining the project scope and in the development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to facilitate decision-making for project start-up. Assist with the preparation of the Project Implementation Plan (PIP) and other key documents to support the project. Develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and/or Business Plan for Clients in keeping with the organization’s policy for the approval of the Management.
Interfaces with Clients, keeps track of their deliverables, and keeps the management up-to-date.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Dynamic professional with experience in project planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of small to large projects. Strong project management and reporting skills. Ability to provide technical advice and support to clients at the approval of the management. Able to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders. Good communications (oral and written) and presentation skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Proficient in the use of different project management software and the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong computer skills and good knowledge of relevant software applications. Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills, including English language written skills

Job Description:
Scheduling meetings and training for clients.
Agricultural Extension Services
Coordinating project activities.
Collating timesheets and reports.
Drafting presentations and formatting documents for trainings.
Supporting team members with administrative functions.
Facilitating project communications.
Provide oral translation / interpretation service from Hausa into English, and vice versa
Undertake a range of administrative duties and tasks that may reflect substantial variety and complexity
Undertake a record keeping system and ensure it is in line with Reap Africa Initiative’s record management guidelines
Performs any other related duties as may be required by the Directors/Management.

Minimum Training and Experience:
An undergraduate degree (B.Sc./HND) in any relevant field. Relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage. A relevant Project Management qualification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and experience will be an advantage.

Salary: The remuneration level at which the Project Officer (PO) is engaged will be based on the successful candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
